This photographic body engages in intimate conversation with Starr's estranged paternal family residing in semi-rural Western Australia. These images subsequently exhibit the role of agrarian tradition in the dissemination of toxic masculinity through generations. Concepts of the patriarchal country are further examined via the Starr family run sausage factory, pertaining its own relationship to man’s conquest over nature.
Starr, queer identifying reflects upon their personal struggle in defying constructed norms associated with Australian colonial identity. These conservative expectations being firmly upheld by their family’s own cultural beliefs.
